Join BRAC to hear from Chris Tyson, president & CEO of Build Baton Rouge, the city-parish’s development agency, on the master plan to revitalize Plank Road.
About the Speaker:
Christopher J. Tyson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Build Baton Rouge, where he leads Baton Rouge’s land development and blight elimination efforts. He is currently on leave from his position as the Newman Trowbridge Distinguished Professor of Law at the LSU Law Center. As a noted local government law scholar, Chris has published numerous articles, book chapters and editorials, including an internationally syndicated New York Times op-ed on the Alton Sterling shooting. He has previously worked at Accenture, Jones Walker and in the Washington, DC Office of Senator Mary Landrieu. Chris earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree with honors from Howard University, his Master of Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School, and his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
