Property Management Marketing

The newest social media trend and most popular apps are forever changing aspects of living in the 21st century. In order to connect with potential residents, community managers must maintain a strong presence on the platforms their potential residents use daily. Further, you must make social media work for you—not the other way around. To outsmart the clutter of the newest trends and competitors, having an engaging message about your property should be your main priority. Here are a few tips any property management group can use to improve their social media presence:

Facebook

It’s important to create and share highly visible content. Using new mediums such as 3-D photos, 360-degree videos and Facebook live are incentivized by Facebook. The idea behind using these mediums is creating something sharable– something people want others to see, as well. Incorporating these features into your social media calendar early on is a smart move, so you stay one step ahead of your competing properties. Further, it is important to be a resource to your current residents. This can be accomplished by posting community events, weather alerts and property maintenance items of which a tenant should be aware.

Instagram

Using the “highlights” feature to show what makes your property unique in a highly visual format is one great way to use Instagram! Investing in quality photography will benefit your brand. You can create sharable pictures either by hiring a professional photographer or buying nice equipment to create high-quality photos. Not only do high-quality photos and videos perform better on platforms like Instagram, they also provide a glimpse of the experiences offered at your property. This helps your potential resident envision themselves living on your property!

All Social Media Platforms

Additionally, video is the fastest-growing medium in the digital landscape. Featuring resident stories and behind-the-scenes videos were ranked as the most engaging videos last year. Even embracing the new delivery methods such as 360-degree videos, augmented reality and virtual reality helps your brand stand OUT from the competitor properties!

Ahh, October. It’s hard to fathom that we’re already on the brink of Halloween — and then, you know how the rest of the year goes. Before long, we’ll be preparing for our last full company meeting, Family Day, and our Thanksmas celebrations. The end of 2025 will be here before we know it! That being said — no matter what the busy season brings — when it comes to property damage emergencies, our team is always there for you. Meet the Team | Whitney Hampton Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase one of our awesome team members. For October, we are excited to introduce you to Whitney Hampton , one of our Gulfport Business Development Representatives. Gulf Coast Roots & Family Life Whitney was born and raised in New Orleans but has split her time between Louisiana and Mississippi throughout her life. She later moved to Gulfport, where she graduated from high school. As a young adult, she lived in Bossier City, LA. Now, she is back on the coast in Biloxi, where she raises her two children, Kohen and Kobi, with her husband. Education & Professional Background Whitney graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Marketing — SMTTT! This December, she’ll be finishing her master’s in marketing with a specialization in Digital Strategy. Before joining our team in December 2023, she worked in property management. Whitney started in leasing, then was promoted to Community Manager, where she received the Best Marketing Award in 2023 . Life Outside of Work Personally, when she is not working, Whitney is usually busy with “The Adventures of Kohen and Kobi.” They love spending their weekends exploring new places, such as the science museum, zoo, or splash pad. Staying active and making fun memories together is what she enjoys most. Sports are a big part of the Hampton household. They are big Philadelphia Eagles fans — GO BIRDS! They also love the Florida Gators and have attended many games in Gainesville. Saturdays and Sundays are definitely football days in their house.
