Meet the Team: Marcela Argueta Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase our many awesome team members. For July, we are shining the spotlight on Marcela Argueta , who serves as a Lead Technician at our New Orleans location. She was promoted to that position in January 2025 . From Honduras to GRS Marcela was born and raised in La Ceiba, Honduras , also known as “la novia de Honduras” —which translates to “the bride of Honduras.” She moved to the U.S. in December 2016 after earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras . Marcela is currently approved and ready to take her exam to become a registered nurse in the U.S. Before joining our team in August 2022 , she worked as both a nurse and a homemaker . Life Outside of Work Marcela is a proud mother of two—her son, Sebastian (15) and daughter, Eleanor (5) . When she’s not working, she loves spending quality time with her children and extended family. Fun fact: her half-sister, Brenda , also works at GRS in our Baton Rouge office! One of Marcela’s favorite pastimes is going for walks in the park. She says she often uses this time to meditate and reflect—thinking about what she’s done well and what she could improve.

Meet the Team | Edgar Lopez Each month, we highlight a standout team member from one of our six branch locations—and for June, we’re excited to feature Edgar Lopez , one of our dedicated Project Managers at the Baton Rouge branch. Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Edgar moved to the United States when he was 12 years old. After completing high school, he pursued a degree in Construction Management at Baton Rouge Community College. Before joining GRS in October 2019, Edgar built an impressive résumé with nearly nine years of experience across industrial, commercial, and residential construction. Family, Faith & Hobbies Outside of work, Edgar is a devoted husband to his wife of 13 years, Beatriz. Together, they are raising three wonderful children: Destiny (11), Said (8), and Elyon (7 months). When he’s not managing projects, Edgar enjoys spending quality time with his family, staying active in his church, playing soccer, and going fishing. A passionate soccer enthusiast, he’s a proud supporter of FC Barcelona.

About Amy Amy was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia , and spent her entire life in Macon County before moving to Louisiana in 2022. Prior to joining GRS in October 2022, she served as an Office Manager at Macon County Farm Bureau for 15 years. In her free time, Amy enjoys life as a self-proclaimed "beach bum," visiting Gulf Coast beaches as often as she can. She also loves reading and antiquing . Amy is a proud mom to two daughters, Bailee and Madison , and cherishes time with her family and her beloved Cane Corso , Gypsy . She’s an avid supporter of LSU Gymnastics and Auburn University . In the NFL, she cheers for the Baltimore Ravens , thanks to linebacker Roquan Smith , who also hails from Macon County. Life in Louisiana Last year, Amy and her boyfriend, Adam , purchased a home in Gonzales, Louisiana . They’ve been busy transforming their new house into a home—planting flowers, decorating, and picking out new furniture.

Each month, we highlight one of our outstanding team members, and for March, we’re shining the spotlight on Tiler Conner , a Mobile Project Manager. From Georgia to the Gulf Coast: Tiler’s Journey Tiler Conner was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia . After graduating high school in 2020, he started his career in pest control before transitioning into the restoration industry . In the summer of 2021, Tiler moved to Pensacola, Florida , where he began working at another restoration company as a technician. His dedication and skill quickly led him to a mitigation supervisor role , followed by a promotion to mitigation project manager . In August 2023 , he joined GRS when we launched our Mobile branch , bringing his expertise to our growing team. Passion for Cars, the Beach, and Family When Tiler isn’t managing restoration projects, you’ll likely find him working on cars or motorcycles —a passion he’s had for years. He also enjoys spending time with loved ones and relaxing at the beach , making the Gulf Coast the perfect place for him to call home.

This month, we’re excited to introduce Christy Jones Huff , a Business Development Representative at our Jackson, Mississippi Branch who joined the team just over a year ago in January 2024 . From Property Management to Business Development Christy’s journey to GRS started long before she stepped through our doors. A Jackson State University graduate , she earned her degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations with a minor in Marketing . She then spent 19 years as a property manager , gaining invaluable experience in building relationships and problem-solving, which are skills that now serve her well in business development. It is safe to say that she is well-versed in the multifamily vertical that we serve, but she also works with several other industries, such as state entities and housing authorities.  Life Outside of Work Originally from Farmhaven, MS , Christy stays busy outside of work with a full house. She’s married, a proud mom to a college-aged son, and spends most of her free time keeping up with a very active toddler —a job she jokingly refers to as "taming a toddler." When she finds a rare quiet moment, she enjoys crafting, though she explained that those moments are few and far between these days.
