Meet The Team | Tameka Guy

At Guarantee Restoration Services, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Each team member brings unique experiences, skills, and perspectives that contribute to our success. This month, we're excited to introduce Tameka Guy, Team Coordinator at our Lafayette branch!

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Tameka brings a diverse background in business, management, and quality control to the GRS team. She attended the University of Phoenix, where she earned degrees in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, General Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Leadership and Management.

Before joining GRS in December 2025, Tameka worked at Mars Manufacturing in Chattanooga, helping produce popular treats like Altoids Mints, Life Savers Gummies, and Life Savers Mints. She also gained valuable experience working in the laboratory, performing quality control checks to ensure products met company standards.

Finding a Family at GRS

Since joining the GRS family, Tameka has especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and strong relationships among team members.

"What I love most is that it truly feels like a family environment, where you're more than just an employee."

Of GRS's five core values—Efficiency, Excellence, Commitment, Honesty, and Partnership—the one that resonates most with Tameka is Partnership. As a Team Coordinator, she understands the importance of communication and collaboration, especially when multiple situations require attention at once.

"When there are multiple situations going on at once, we all come together and bounce ideas off each other to make sure we're making the best decisions for the situations in front of us."

Advice for New Team Members

That same appreciation for open communication is reflected in the advice Tameka would offer to someone just starting their journey at GRS.

"Be yourself, and be honest and true to who you really are. If you have questions or opinions, don't be afraid to speak up. Nobody will truly get to know you if you don't show them who you are."

Life Outside of Work

Outside of work, Tameka enjoys spending quality time with her family, whether that means going fishing, taking trips, or enjoying a day at the park.

And here's a fun fact! Growing up, Tameka dreamed of becoming a semi-truck driver, inspired by the opportunity to travel the world and experience new places.
