Responding To Hurricane Laura

Matthew Edwards • September 3, 2020

On Thursday, August 27, 2020, a catastrophic hurricane hit Lake Charles, La. and its surrounding areas. It has affected at least 15 neighboring parishes around Calcasieu. It has displaced thousands and devastated many lives. Immediately following the storm, our team mobilized and headed west to help restore lives and businesses. We continue to work hard every day and will be there for the foreseeable future.

We understand the need for assistance is great and our determination to help is equal. Our team will continue to assess our outside resources and bring in more teams to enable us to help more families and businesses as needed.

Hello, August! August is flying by, and with back-to-school season in full swing, it won’t be long before fall festivities and the holiday hustle are here. For over five years, I’ve had the privilege of spotlighting the incredible individuals who make Guarantee Restoration Services (GRS) the company it is today. This month, we’re excited to introduce you to a key member of our Lafayette team, Craig Rose , who serves as their Mitigation Manager . Meet the Team: Craig Rose Craig was born in Hamilton, Ohio, but at the “tender age of nine” (his words), he and his family moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Family Life & Personal Interests Craig is married to his wife, Karlie, and they have three children: Gaige (18), Gino (13), and Sydnie (7). When he’s not spending time with his family, you can often find him on the golf course maintaining a scratch handicap, or enjoying a game of chess. He’s a proud fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, he has always had a love of music. He has played the guitar for 35 years. He said that he has seen the band Phish 44 times in concert. He even named his daughter Sydnie after Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd. Career Background Before joining GRS in September 2023, Craig owned and operated a ServiceMaster Restore franchise in Baton Rouge. His extensive experience in the restoration industry and leadership roles make him an invaluable part of our team.
