Meet The Team | Dalton Motichek

Christina Mullins • November 8, 2023

How is it November, already? The holidays are quickly approaching and the end of 2023 will be here before we know it. It always goes by so fast, doesn’t it?

This month, our Meet the Team article shines the spotlight on Dalton Motichek. He serves as an Accounting Clerk at our corporate office in Baton Rouge.

Dalton was born and raised in Pochatoula, Louisiana. After graduating from Ponchatoula High School in 2016, he attended  and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in May 2021. Lion Up!

Before joining the GRS team in October 2021, he worked as a Game Master at Clue Carre in New Orleans. In case you are unsure of what that is, he was the person behind the screen giving you clues during the escape room.

When he is not working, he is usually at home spending time with my family or playing video games. Most Sundays, you can find him at the Saints game cheering on his team in the Superdome. WHO DAT! He is also currently studying to take the CPA exam.

Additionally, I asked Dalton what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said, “my dream job when I was a kid was a Doctor or a Veterinarian.”

While I was writing this post, I asked him what he likes about working for Guarantee Restoration Services. He stated, “The thing I love most about GRS is the family-oriented environment and how everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.”

One other question I always pose is if the spotlight individual has learned anything new recently. He said, “Recently, I learned that Egypt initially had two of the Seven Wonders of the World. However, the Lighthouse of Alexandria has since been destroyed by multiple earthquakes. The only one still standing is the Great Pyramid.”

Lastly, he gave some advice to both our team members and leaders. He responded, “For employees, never be afraid to ask questions and learn more than what you’re hired for. You never know where you will end up in the future. For the leaders, invest time in your employees and show that you’re there for them and help them anytime you see they are down or not performing as well as usual.

Ahh, October. It’s hard to fathom that we’re already on the brink of Halloween — and then, you know how the rest of the year goes. Before long, we’ll be preparing for our last full company meeting, Family Day, and our Thanksmas celebrations. The end of 2025 will be here before we know it! That being said — no matter what the busy season brings — when it comes to property damage emergencies, our team is always there for you. Meet the Team | Whitney Hampton Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase one of our awesome team members. For October, we are excited to introduce you to Whitney Hampton , one of our Gulfport Business Development Representatives. Gulf Coast Roots & Family Life Whitney was born and raised in New Orleans but has split her time between Louisiana and Mississippi throughout her life. She later moved to Gulfport, where she graduated from high school. As a young adult, she lived in Bossier City, LA. Now, she is back on the coast in Biloxi, where she raises her two children, Kohen and Kobi, with her husband. Education & Professional Background Whitney graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Marketing — SMTTT! This December, she’ll be finishing her master’s in marketing with a specialization in Digital Strategy. Before joining our team in December 2023, she worked in property management. Whitney started in leasing, then was promoted to Community Manager, where she received the Best Marketing Award in 2023 . Life Outside of Work Personally, when she is not working, Whitney is usually busy with “The Adventures of Kohen and Kobi.” They love spending their weekends exploring new places, such as the science museum, zoo, or splash pad. Staying active and making fun memories together is what she enjoys most. Sports are a big part of the Hampton household. They are big Philadelphia Eagles fans — GO BIRDS! They also love the Florida Gators and have attended many games in Gainesville. Saturdays and Sundays are definitely football days in their house.
