Meet The Team | Donnell Williams

Christina Mullins • September 10, 2025

Hi, September!

The leaves may not be changing colors like they are along the East Coast, but Fall is almost upon us.

It has been an unusually slow Atlantic Hurricane Season, but that has not slowed us down one bit. With about six weeks left, our team remains ready—as always—to respond.

Meet the Team: Donnell Williams

For September, I’d like to introduce you to Donnell Williams, a Reconstruction Project Manager at our Jackson Branch.

Donnell was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. After graduating high school, he attended Jackson State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education (K-12) with a minor in Music Education

Life Outside of Work

Donnell is a proud father of three—Abigail (5), Dawson (4), and Elijah (3)—and enjoys spending his free time with them.

Music plays a big role in his life. He plays piano and organ at church and with a cover band. And as a loyal Jackson State alumnus, you’ll often find him in the stands on a football game day, cheering for the Tigers.

He’s also a fan of the Tennessee Titans

Career Journey

Before joining GRS in November 2024, Donnell worked for the City of Jackson in the Department of Planning. His background in public service and education has given him a unique perspective on leadership and teamwork.

Donnell’s Advice

When asked what advice he would share, Donnell offered two perspectives:

  • For company leaders: “Keep up the great work, your leadership sets the tone for success.”
  • For employees: “Show up consistently and follow through on your commitments. Growth happens often at GRS, so stay prepared; it’s better to be ready than to have to get ready.”

Why He Loves Working at GRS

“What I like most about working at GRS,” Donnell shared, “is the opportunities for internal promotion, hands-on training, and the company-wide focus on detail and logistics.
