Meet The Team | Eric Pecoraro

Christina Mullins • June 15, 2023

Happy June! It’s hard to believe that almost half of 2023 has come and gone. June 1st marked the first day of storm season. Our team is ready to respond, restore and reoccupy should a disaster occur. This month, we would like to introduce you to Eric Pecoraro, who is a technician at our Lafayette branch!

Eric was born and raised in Lafayette. After graduating from Acadiana High School, he was an associate in the sports department at Academy. He joined our team in May 2021 and just celebrated his second work anniversary.

Personally, Eric is a new Dad to his son River, who is five months old. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. He really loves watching sports, especially baseball and football. His favorite teams are LSU and the New Orleans Saints.

In addition, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He stated, “Growing up, my dream job was to be a coach or something that has to do with sports. The sports world has my heart."

As I wrote this article, I also posed the question asking him what he likes about working for GRS. Eric responded, “I love the people I work with! Being able to work with my brother and my best friend every day definitely makes this job a lot easier.” Working for Guarantee Restoration Services actually runs in the Pecoraro Family, as his older brother Jacob has worked for our team since June 2018.

Finally, he gave some advice to both our team members and leaders. He said, “For my fellow employees, my advice is be kind to one another and help each other out. It could be helping out with paperwork or showing someone how to do something in a more efficient way. As techs, we have to have each other's backs. My advice for leaders would be communication. Making sure that everyone understands what needs to be done and for it to be done the right way. Understanding the job in its entirety helps it go smoothly each time.”

Come Join Our Team!

GRS is hiring at all of our branches. We have three Louisiana locations in Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We also have two locations in Mississippi in Jackson and Gulfport.  If you or someone you know is looking for a new position, or wants to make a career change, visit our website to see a full list of current available positions. We encourage you to apply today!

Ahh, October. It’s hard to fathom that we’re already on the brink of Halloween — and then, you know how the rest of the year goes. Before long, we’ll be preparing for our last full company meeting, Family Day, and our Thanksmas celebrations. The end of 2025 will be here before we know it! That being said — no matter what the busy season brings — when it comes to property damage emergencies, our team is always there for you. Meet the Team | Whitney Hampton Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase one of our awesome team members. For October, we are excited to introduce you to Whitney Hampton , one of our Gulfport Business Development Representatives. Gulf Coast Roots & Family Life Whitney was born and raised in New Orleans but has split her time between Louisiana and Mississippi throughout her life. She later moved to Gulfport, where she graduated from high school. As a young adult, she lived in Bossier City, LA. Now, she is back on the coast in Biloxi, where she raises her two children, Kohen and Kobi, with her husband. Education & Professional Background Whitney graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Marketing — SMTTT! This December, she’ll be finishing her master’s in marketing with a specialization in Digital Strategy. Before joining our team in December 2023, she worked in property management. Whitney started in leasing, then was promoted to Community Manager, where she received the Best Marketing Award in 2023 . Life Outside of Work Personally, when she is not working, Whitney is usually busy with “The Adventures of Kohen and Kobi.” They love spending their weekends exploring new places, such as the science museum, zoo, or splash pad. Staying active and making fun memories together is what she enjoys most. Sports are a big part of the Hampton household. They are big Philadelphia Eagles fans — GO BIRDS! They also love the Florida Gators and have attended many games in Gainesville. Saturdays and Sundays are definitely football days in their house.
