Meet The Team | Edgar Lopez

Christina Mullins • June 11, 2025

Hello, June!

While the official start of summer is still a few days away with the upcoming summer solstice, it has felt like summer along the Gulf Coast for nearly two months already. Our team has experienced a steady and busy spring season, especially with the severe thunderstorms that swept through our service areas.

Now, with the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially underway as of June 1st, we are actively preparing for what’s expected to be a high-activity season. Staying ready and resilient is part of who we are.

Meet the Team | Edgar Lopez

Each month, we highlight a standout team member from one of our six branch locations—and for June, we’re excited to feature Edgar Lopez, one of our dedicated Project Managers at the Baton Rouge branch.

Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Edgar moved to the United States when he was 12 years old. After completing high school, he pursued a degree in Construction Management at Baton Rouge Community College. Before joining GRS in October 2019, Edgar built an impressive résumé with nearly nine years of experience across industrial, commercial, and residential construction.

Family, Faith & Hobbies

Outside of work, Edgar is a devoted husband to his wife of 13 years, Beatriz. Together, they are raising three wonderful children: Destiny (11), Said (8), and Elyon (7 months).

When he’s not managing projects, Edgar enjoys spending quality time with his family, staying active in his church, playing soccer, and going fishing. A passionate soccer enthusiast, he’s a proud supporter of FC Barcelona.

Words of Wisdom

When asked what advice he would offer to leaders, Edgar shared:

“My advice for leaders is to always motivate and take care of your team members.”

And for fellow team members and employees, his advice is:

“Always do your best at everything you do.”

As for what he enjoys most about working at GRS, Edgar said:

“What I love about working at GRS is the opportunity to learn, gather experience, and become better in the restoration industry.”

We’re grateful to have Edgar on our team and appreciate the passion and dedication he brings to every project.
