Meet The Team | Maegan Crow

Christina Mullins • September 11, 2024

As Hurricane Francine approaches the Louisiana coast, we want to take a moment to share another edition of our "Meet the Team" series. Each month, we highlight a different team member from one of our six locations. This month, we are excited to introduce you to Maegan Crow, one of our talented technicians from Jackson, Mississippi.

Maegan’s Journey to GRS

Maegan Crow was born and raised in various parts of Rankin County, Mississippi, due to life challenges that shaped her upbringing. Reflecting on her experiences, Maegan shared, “This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the community and a strong connection to the people here. It also taught me resilience, adaptability, and a diverse perspective, which have been invaluable in both my personal and professional life.”

Before joining Guarantee Restoration Services in April 2024, Maegan worked in law enforcement. She described her transition into the restoration industry as a rewarding one. “The satisfaction of bringing something damaged or worn back to life is incredibly rewarding. Each project presents a unique challenge, and I enjoy the hands-on work and the opportunity to see the tangible results of my efforts. Being able to help people restore something valuable to them, whether it’s a home or a piece of history, is what makes this career so fulfilling for me,” Maegan said.

Life Outside of Work

Maegan’s personal life is just as full as her professional one. She and her girlfriend, Nyah, share their lives with two beloved poodles, Knash (2) and Cookie Monster (4), who keep them busy outside of work. In her downtime, Maegan enjoys yard work, finding it a great way to unwind. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. “Balancing these responsibilities has taught me the importance of time management. Staying active and engaged in my personal life helps me bring more energy and focus to my professional role,” she noted.

As a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Maegan cherishes her connection to her late father through their shared love of the team. “They were my dad’s favorite team, and supporting them has become a cherished part of honoring his memory. It’s something that brings me a lot of joy and connection to him,” she added.

Advice for Employees and Leaders

When asked about advice for others in the company, Maegan had valuable insights for both employees and leaders.

For Employees:

“My advice for employees is to stay adaptable and open to learning. No matter the challenges you face, resilience and a willingness to grow can turn obstacles into opportunities. Take pride in your work and strive for excellence in everything you do. The effort you put in today will shape your success tomorrow. Finally, build strong relationships with your team and community—supporting each other can make all the difference in overcoming challenges and achieving your goals.”

For Leaders:

“My advice for leaders is to lead by example and foster an environment of trust and respect. Be transparent with your team, communicate your vision clearly, and listen to their feedback. Empower your employees by giving them the tools and support they need to succeed, while also holding them accountable. Staying adaptable is crucial, as the business landscape is always evolving. Lastly, prioritize the development of your team—invest in their growth, and you’ll see the benefits in the strength and success of your organization.”

Why Maegan Loves Working at GRS

Although she didn’t have a specific career path in mind as a child, Maegan always knew she wanted to help people. When asked what she loves about working at Guarantee Restoration Services, she said, “What I love about working for GRS is the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. The work is fulfilling because it involves not only restoring properties but also helping clients during challenging times. The supportive team environment and variety of projects keep things dynamic and engaging. I appreciate the company’s commitment to excellence and its dedication to customer satisfaction, which aligns with my own values and makes each day at work meaningful.”

This strategic initiative marks an exciting step forward in the company’s continued growth and commitment to serving clients and partners on a broader scale. The newly established team will be led by Barrett Dick, Director of National Sales, alongside Zack Klein, Director of Business Development and Marketing. Together, they have played a pivotal role in growing GRS relationships across multiple industries throughout the Gulf Coast and beyond for over a decade. The team also includes newly hired account executives, David Stern and Chad Catalano. “Over the years, we have seen our partnerships and opportunities continue to grow beyond our traditional footprint,” said Zack Klein, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Guarantee Restoration Services. “Creating a dedicated National Sales Team allows us to strengthen those relationships, support our partners on a larger scale, and continue expanding the reach of the GRS brand, while staying true to the service and responsiveness we are known for.” Dick, who will celebrate 10 years with GRS next month, brings extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience to the role. He holds multiple Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) credentials, including Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying (ASD), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), and Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT). After graduating from Louisiana State University, Barrett began his professional career with Marucci Sports before joining Guarantee Restoration Services in July 2016. Just weeks into his time with the company, the historic Great Flood of 2016 impacted Southeastern Louisiana, providing him with firsthand experience managing large-scale losses and coordinating restoration efforts for major school districts and commercial clients. Since then, he has helped cultivate business development efforts throughout Louisiana and nationally, working closely with partners in hospitality, education, government, healthcare, and other commercial sectors. “Our focus has always been relationship-driven,” said Dick. “We want our clients and partners to know they have a team they can rely on before, during, and after a disaster. Stern brings more than a decade of high-level sales and relationship management experience from the professional sports industry. Prior to joining GRS, Catalano served as National Sales Manager for ServiceMaster DSI and spent more than 16 years with US Restoration as a Sales and Project Coordinator. Throughout his career, he has built long-standing partnerships while helping clients navigate complex restoration and recovery projects. In addition to his restoration industry experience, Catalano also spent several years as a successful high school baseball coach in the New Orleans area, earning multiple district championships and Coach of the Year honors. His leadership, communication skills, and client-focused approach make him a valuable addition to the growing national team.
