Meet The Team | Maria Williams

Christina Mullins • April 12, 2023

They say that April showers bring May flowers. That may certainly be true if the rain patterns continue here in South Louisiana. But, nevertheless, 2023 is already flying by. We had a successful first quarter and look to echo that success for the rest of the year. Most of this success comes from the team we have built here at Guarantee Restoration Services. Many would argue that our team coordinators are the backbone of how our production side runs so efficiently. This month, we introduce you to Maria Williams of our Baton Rouge branch.

Most of this success comes from the team we have built here at Guarantee Restoration Services. Many would argue that our team coordinators are the backbone of how our production side runs so efficiently. This month, we introduce you to Maria Williams of our Baton Rouge branch.

Originally, Maria was born in Boise, Idaho. Growing up, she was one of four children. She has two older brothers and one younger brother. After high school, she attended Boise State University. She received her associates degree in Legal Office Technology. From there, she served as a legal assistant for the Ada County Prosecutor's Office in Boise, Idaho.

Before joining the GRS team in January 2020, she worked for another mitigation company in Texas. At Guarantee, Maria serves as the Team Coordinator of our Navy Team, or Healthcare Division.

Personally, she has been married for 6 years and has three children: a daughter, Olivia (15), a son Carson (12), and daughter, Skye (3). Her family life keeps her very busy. She really enjoys watching Olivia play competitive soccer.  Maria said she loves spending time with her family and traveling, whether it’s out of state to visit or for soccer tournaments.

I also asked her what she learned recently to which she said, “Something new I learned recently is that baby chicks can’t be on their own until they are fully feathered. This is because they can’t regulate their body temperature. You can reach out to Nicole Landry for all of your chicken questions/needs!”

Finally, she gave some advice to both our team members and leaders. She said that you should  always be willing to learn new things. It is also important to always help when you can because you never know when you are going to need it in return.

Come Join Our Team and Family!

GRS is hiring at all of our branches. We have three Louisiana locations in Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We also have two locations in Mississippi in Jackson and Gulfport.  If you or someone you know is looking for a new position, or wants to make a career change, visit our website to see a full list of current available positions.

Ahh, October. It’s hard to fathom that we’re already on the brink of Halloween — and then, you know how the rest of the year goes. Before long, we’ll be preparing for our last full company meeting, Family Day, and our Thanksmas celebrations. The end of 2025 will be here before we know it! That being said — no matter what the busy season brings — when it comes to property damage emergencies, our team is always there for you. Meet the Team | Whitney Hampton Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase one of our awesome team members. For October, we are excited to introduce you to Whitney Hampton , one of our Gulfport Business Development Representatives. Gulf Coast Roots & Family Life Whitney was born and raised in New Orleans but has split her time between Louisiana and Mississippi throughout her life. She later moved to Gulfport, where she graduated from high school. As a young adult, she lived in Bossier City, LA. Now, she is back on the coast in Biloxi, where she raises her two children, Kohen and Kobi, with her husband. Education & Professional Background Whitney graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Marketing — SMTTT! This December, she’ll be finishing her master’s in marketing with a specialization in Digital Strategy. Before joining our team in December 2023, she worked in property management. Whitney started in leasing, then was promoted to Community Manager, where she received the Best Marketing Award in 2023 . Life Outside of Work Personally, when she is not working, Whitney is usually busy with “The Adventures of Kohen and Kobi.” They love spending their weekends exploring new places, such as the science museum, zoo, or splash pad. Staying active and making fun memories together is what she enjoys most. Sports are a big part of the Hampton household. They are big Philadelphia Eagles fans — GO BIRDS! They also love the Florida Gators and have attended many games in Gainesville. Saturdays and Sundays are definitely football days in their house.
