Meet The Team | Matt Stubbs

Christina Mullins • May 10, 2023

“It’s gonna be May!” Do you know the song? It might be the Millenial in me, but come May 1st, *NSYNC immediately pops into my head. Nevertheless, I digress. With each new month, we take some time to highlight a different team member at one of our five branch locations. This May, we would like to introduce you to Matt Stubbs, who serves as a New Orleans Project Manager.

Matt is another homegrown talent. He was born and raised in New Orleans. After high school, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in Hattiesburg. He went on to work in the home renovation field. Matt joined the GRS team in September 2021.

Personally, Matt has been married to his wife Gina for six years. He has one daughter Sophie (19), and three stepchildren. They are also parents to all of their “pet children.” His pets include, a Black Flat Coated Retriever (Dixie), a Jack Russel/Dachshund mix (Molly) and two orange Tabby Cats (Max and Bella).

In his spare time, he likes enjoys playing music. Actually, he is the drummer of a local band called Boogie 504. Matt can play all percussion instruments, so he plays in numerous 2nd line bands all around NOLA.

Moreover, he likes working on his house and enjoys spending time in his backyard. He also big a sports fan of the Saints, LSU and USM. His favorite sports to watch are football, basketball and soccer. In true South Louisiana fashion, his favorite thing to cook is boiled crawfish.

Additionally, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He aspired to be a professional drummer. That dream, in a way, did eventually come true.

Finally, Matt gave some advice to both our team members and leaders. He said, “always be yourself and don't be someone that you are not proud of.”

Saying Hi to July! The summer is here—and so is the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season. No matter what it brings, you can be assured that our team at Guarantee Restoration Services will be there when you need us most. Meet the Team: Marcela Argueta Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase our many awesome team members. For July, we are shining the spotlight on Marcela Argueta , who serves as a Lead Technician at our New Orleans location. She was promoted to that position in January 2025 . From Honduras to GRS Marcela was born and raised in La Ceiba, Honduras , also known as “la novia de Honduras” —which translates to “the bride of Honduras.” She moved to the U.S. in December 2016 after earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras . Marcela is currently approved and ready to take her exam to become a registered nurse in the U.S. Before joining our team in August 2022 , she worked as both a nurse and a homemaker . Life Outside of Work Marcela is a proud mother of two—her son, Sebastian (15) and daughter, Eleanor (5) . When she’s not working, she loves spending quality time with her children and extended family. Fun fact: her half-sister, Brenda , also works at GRS in our Baton Rouge office! One of Marcela’s favorite pastimes is going for walks in the park. She says she often uses this time to meditate and reflect—thinking about what she’s done well and what she could improve.
