Meet the Team | Ron Lepine

Christina Mullins • October 19, 2022

The leaves in Louisiana may not look like those in Vermont right now, but a cold front has come through! Some may even say it feels like Fall. Nevertheless, it is that time of the month where we introduce you to a different GRS Team Member. For October, it is our Lafayette branch’s turn. Today, our Meet the Team article shines the light on one of our estimators, Ron Lepine. Read more about him below!

Meet the Team: From the Westbank to Acadiana

Ron was born and raised in Nile Mile Point, Louisiana. For those unfamiliar, it is located on the Westbank of New Orleans in Jefferson Parish. He explained that it is famous for absolutely nothing…so far. It is named as such because it is roughly 9 miles (traveling on the Miss. River) from Canal Street, which was considered the western edge of New Orleans at the time of the naming.

After graduating from L.W. Higgins High School in Marrero, he got an associate’s degree from South Louisiana Community College in Drafting and Design. Then, he received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Finally, he also completed a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from ULL.

Before he joined the GRS Team over three years ago, Ron worked for a commercial construction company in Lafayette writing estimates. This was similar to what estimators do at Guarantee, but most calculations had to be done on calculators, notebooks or programs like Excel instead of Xactimate. The job included things like measuring every wall for trim and multiplying perimeters by heights to get square footage for painting or drywall.

Whenever he is not working, he keeps busy by playing drums his local church. Ron also enjoys adding onto his house with various construction projects. In addition, he likes swimming, running and writing fiction. He prefers cooking at home and from scratch. Recently, he explained that he learned how to make homemade buttermilk biscuits. Ron described that this feat was life-changing, and therefore, he actually completed one of his lifetime goals. Lastly, fitness is one of his hobbies, as he tries to “keep these huge biceps at world-class levels.”

In addition, I would be remiss to not mention that Ron is a “Dog Dad" to Molly, who is a 4 year old Black Lab.  Before meeting you, she loves you. She also loves her Dad, and everyone she has ever met, will ever meet and all those which she will never meet. She loves everyone, everywhere. Molly enjoys running around multiple acres of land chasing squirrels, birds and rubber balls and doing her best to find ways to get into trouble.

As I was writing this feature, I asked him what he likes about working for GRS. He said, “I love when a problem is solved by multiple teams coming together to find unique solutions.” I also asked him what he learned recently to which he said, “One degree of processional motion along the ecliptic requires 71.6 years to complete, therefore a complete revolution would theoretically take slightly over 25,000 years.” Very interesting, indeed!

Saying Hi to July! The summer is here—and so is the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season. No matter what it brings, you can be assured that our team at Guarantee Restoration Services will be there when you need us most. Meet the Team: Marcela Argueta Every month, I have the opportunity to showcase our many awesome team members. For July, we are shining the spotlight on Marcela Argueta , who serves as a Lead Technician at our New Orleans location. She was promoted to that position in January 2025 . From Honduras to GRS Marcela was born and raised in La Ceiba, Honduras , also known as “la novia de Honduras” —which translates to “the bride of Honduras.” She moved to the U.S. in December 2016 after earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras . Marcela is currently approved and ready to take her exam to become a registered nurse in the U.S. Before joining our team in August 2022 , she worked as both a nurse and a homemaker . Life Outside of Work Marcela is a proud mother of two—her son, Sebastian (15) and daughter, Eleanor (5) . When she’s not working, she loves spending quality time with her children and extended family. Fun fact: her half-sister, Brenda , also works at GRS in our Baton Rouge office! One of Marcela’s favorite pastimes is going for walks in the park. She says she often uses this time to meditate and reflect—thinking about what she’s done well and what she could improve.
