Meet The Team | Will Hays
Fall may be less than a week away, but it certainly does not seem like it along the Gulf Coast. The busiest part of storm season is here, and we are certainly incredibly busy with recovery of Hurricane Ida. No matter what, I always find time to highlight a different team member each month!
For September, we spotlight Will Hays, who is a technician at our Gulfport branch.
Meet the Team: Roll Tide Roll
Will was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. During his high school years, he and his family moved to the Gulfport, Mississippi area. Upon his high school graduation, he attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he majored in education and coaching. Although he did not complete that program, he hopes to go back to receive a degree.
While at MGCCC, Will found himself looking to find trade that was different from what he had initially majored in. Before joining our team in October 2020, he worked in the apartment maintenance industry. Since starting at GRS, he has learned a lot about the restoration industry. Most recently, he has been learning to lead crews and has been working with our large loss team on Hurricane Ida recovery projects in the New Orleans area.
When he is not working, Will likes to spend time with his family and loved ones. He does this by going out to eat, hanging outside or relaxing at the house. He also enjoys watching sports, especially Alabama Crimson Tide Football.

As I was working on this article, I asked him what he likes about working at GRS, he stated, “It’s family. The thing I love about working for GRS is that everyone argues, gets stressed out, gets tired, and the list goes on. Despite this, we still show up the next day and punch in to get the job done. We know that we have a lot of respect for each other. This industry is not made for everyone, but we know we can get each and every job done.”
