Meet The Team | Christy Jones Huff

Christina Mullins • February 12, 2025

At Guarantee Restoration Services, our people are at the heart of everything we do. This month, we’re excited to introduce Christy Jones Huff, a Business Development Representative at our Jackson, Mississippi Branch who joined the team just over a year ago in January 2024

From Property Management to Business Development

Christy’s journey to GRS started long before she stepped through our doors. A Jackson State University graduate, she earned her degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. She then spent 19 years as a property manager, gaining invaluable experience in building relationships and problem-solving, which are skills that now serve her well in business development. It is safe to say that she is well-versed in the multifamily vertical that we serve, but she also works with several other industries, such as state entities and housing authorities.

Life Outside of Work

Originally from Farmhaven, MS, Christy stays busy outside of work with a full house. She’s married, a proud mom to a college-aged son, and spends most of her free time keeping up with a very active toddler—a job she jokingly refers to as "taming a toddler." When she finds a rare quiet moment, she enjoys crafting, though she explained that those moments are few and far between these days.

Why Work at Guarantee Restoration Services?

When asked what she loves most about working at GRS, Christy did not hesitate and said, “the vibe.” She further expressed, “my direct manager supports me in EVERYTHING I do and is by far my biggest cheerleader. The executive team listens and respects my opinion and feedback. My BD team—LOVE!!!! And my branch supports me in all that I try to accomplish.” Most importantly, GRS provides her with something invaluable—work-life balance. “I have a family that actually gets to spend time with me,” she added.

A Lifelong Problem-Solver

Christy has always had a sharp mind and a curious nature. As a child, she dreamed of becoming either a lawyer or a private investigator, drawn to the idea of solving problems and uncovering the truth. While she ultimately took a different path, she still values learning and growth. Recently, she’s come to the realization that resonates both professionally and personally: “You can't help or make people learn from your mistakes and lessons.”

Words of Wisdom

Her advice for fellow team members is simple but meaningful: “Take pride in everything you do.” It’s a philosophy she applies to her own work, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to every project and relationship she builds.

Why Water Restoration Services Are Important for Businesses in Mobile
By Erik Seagrave June 25, 2025
Mobile, Alabama's location on the Gulf Coast makes it especially vulnerable to water damage. With heavy rainfall, high humidity, frequent storms, and proximity to Mobile Bay, flooding and moisture-related damage are constant concerns for businesses and commercial properties.

Hello, June! While the official start of summer is still a few days away with the upcoming summer solstice, it has felt like summer along the Gulf Coast for nearly two months already. Our team has experienced a steady and busy spring season, especially with the severe thunderstorms that swept through our service areas. Now, with the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially underway as of June 1st, we are actively preparing for what’s expected to be a high-activity season. Staying ready and resilient is part of who we are. Meet the Team | Edgar Lopez Each month, we highlight a standout team member from one of our six branch locations—and for June, we’re excited to feature Edgar Lopez , one of our dedicated Project Managers at the Baton Rouge branch. Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Edgar moved to the United States when he was 12 years old. After completing high school, he pursued a degree in Construction Management at Baton Rouge Community College. Before joining GRS in October 2019, Edgar built an impressive résumé with nearly nine years of experience across industrial, commercial, and residential construction. Family, Faith & Hobbies Outside of work, Edgar is a devoted husband to his wife of 13 years, Beatriz. Together, they are raising three wonderful children: Destiny (11), Said (8), and Elyon (7 months). When he’s not managing projects, Edgar enjoys spending quality time with his family, staying active in his church, playing soccer, and going fishing. A passionate soccer enthusiast, he’s a proud supporter of FC Barcelona.
